What to expect at one of my workshops

About me as a tutor

I have over thirty years experience as a freelance tutor at all levels and abilities from eight to eighty usually teaching various jewellery making techniques, felt making and papier mache. Over the last few years I have been a mentor to students attending the Craft Angels Network scheme run by Model House, passing on my teaching skills to graduates wanting to work in community arts – I also delivered the business skills workshops for the scheme. I am also a Dynamo Role Model, a WAG funded scheme promoting entrepreneurship to young people. I endeavour to enable students to create to a professional standard and to complete projects that will give confidence and perhaps spark further interest and new adventures. I enjoy the bonding experience that occurs when people are working creatively in a group which is often absent in isolated practice.
